QUAD CITIES, IA/IL- Clouds will return across the area today, but winds from the SW will continue to keep us mild as highs soar into the 30s and 40s. A strong front is set to arrive on Thursday and along with it, a wintry mix and cooler temps. Look for the front to arrive around midday or early afternoon. As it moves through rain will change over to sleet and eventually from snow. This does not look to have much of an impact on travel tomorrow. As NW winds increase temps drop we will have off and on snow showers on Friday which could lead to low visibility and tough travel for brief periods of time. However, snowfall amounts will generally be less than a couple inches out of these two waves of wintry weather, thus holding off on a First Alert Day right now. Cooler temps arrive for the weekend with highs mainly in the 20s.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy. High: 40º Wind: SW 10-20 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Low: 27°. Wind: SW 0-5 mph.

TOMORROW: Wintry mix. High: 39º.
