Cardboard Fans in The Stands at Wharton
MOLINE, Illinois (KWQC) -
Shannon Harding, President of the Moline Boosters Club, joins PSL to talk about how Moline Maroons sports fans can support athletic programs by purchasing Fatheads to put in the stands at Wharton. Folks can have cardboard cut outs custom made to represent themselves or anyone---including celebrities or family pets! Watch the segment to learn more and see the great looking Fatheads on display (during a basketball practice session!).

Shannon explains the importance of the fundraiser due to the impact of COVID on what is usually their major source of support: concession sales. Moline Alumni members are participating in challenges to motivate others to purchase the cut outs. For instance, the Class of 1973 has purchased 10 cardboard cut outs and have sent out a challenge to other classes of the 60s and 70s to step up, too.
The Fatheads will be displayed throughout all the upcoming sporting events. It costs $40 to purchase a cardboard cut out. Every penny that the Moline Booster Club profits goes back to the kids in sports in various ways including equipment purchases.
