Single digit temps and chills early Tuesday before things moderate later this week

Quad Cities, IA/IL (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

It will be a cold night early on as lows, for many, are reached before clouds return. Lows could hit the single digits with wind chills in the same neighborhood.

As clouds build into the morning on Tuesday temperatures will rise, as will wind chills, and there could even be a few snowflakes Tuesday morning. Some areas

might get a dusting of snow but most parts of the QCA will barely notice the light flurries. Moving on into the week highs will rise from the 20s Tuesday to the

30s Wednesday. Thursday some morning rain or a mix is possible with highs near 50 in the afternoon. Low 50s and rain showers are likely on Friday with highs

cooling back to the 40s for the weekend with a brief mix possible Saturday morning.
