‘Sweep the Ceiling’ fundraiser brings in more than $1,000 for local ambulance service

ALTONA, Ill. (KWQC) - TV6 has an update to a story we first brought you Wednesday.

Altona, Ill. bar, General Store Tap, held a fundraiser called “Sweep the Ceiling.”

Since August, customers pinned their monetary donation to the ceiling. On St. Patrick’s Day, the owners swept the money off the ceiling.

A total of $1,074 was swept off the ceiling, and will be donated to the Altona, Oneida, Wataga Ambulance Service.
