QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) - Most of the rain will fall Saturday night into early Sunday near the QC.

Other than an isolated rumble of thunder, we will have the steady rain to listen to tonight. The heaviest rain amounts could reach 1″-2″+ near and to the northeast of the Quad Cities by Sunday morning.

The heavy cloud cover will still be around through Sunday, and showers will still be around through the afternoon, especially in eastern counties. Highs will be in the 60s in most spots Sunday afternoon because of this.

The best spot to see clearing will be to the southwest of the Quad Cities tomorrow afternoon.

There will be more wrap-around rain showers near and east of the river through Monday. This will again keep temperatures in the 60s through most of Monday.

Once the system moves out of the area, there will be a general warming trend with dry conditions starting Tuesday.

TONIGHT: Cloudy, rain. Low: 59°. Wind: N 5-15 mph.

SUNDAY: Cool, showers. High: 66°. Wind: N 5-15 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, rain. Low: 55°. Wind: NE 5-10 mph.
