QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- Welcome to October...it certainly doesn’t feel like it! Highs have once again surpassed the 90s for many hometowns this afternoon. The heat continues on for a few more days. Clear skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s and low 90s will continue through Tuesday. Lows will dip down to the upper 50s and low 60s.

Those who wish for a more fall-like weather pattern are in luck. A cold front will move through the region on Wednesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms are possible, This front will usher in a cold spell that will drop temperatures into the low 60s and even upper 50s for highs by the weekend. Some nights we could drop our lows into the 30s, so patchy frost may be a concern.

MONDAY: Sunny and warm. High: 88°. Wind: S 5-10 mph.

TUESDAY: Partly Cloudy and war,. High: 87º.
