Collin Schopp joined KWQC in July 2020 as a content producer for Quad Cities Today and now produces the 4 and 5 newscasts, as well as Saturday evening shows. Collin is a 2020 graduate of Augustana College with a double major in Multimedia Journalism and Communication Studies. At Augustana, Collin worked as the Arts and Entertainment Editor for the Augustana Observer and interned at WVIK, Quad Cities NPR. When not learning journalism, Collin sang in the Augustana Choir, performed in plays and musicals, and helped found a sketch comedy group. An Illinois native, Collin was raised in rural communities around Bloomington-Normal. He is now a Rock Island resident and excited to start a television news career at KWQC. Previously, Collin worked as a part-time reporter at WCBU, Peoria Public Radio.
