David has co-anchored the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts with Paula and Sharon since June 2018. He had previously co-anchored KWQC's morning news beginning in 2009. David grew up in the Nashville, Tennessee area and began his broadcasting career in radio before landing his first TV job as a news writer at WSMV-TV in Nashville. Before coming to KWQC, David was a morning anchor at WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, and a main anchor at WAVY/Fox 43 in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Virginia area.
In October 2018, David moderated the third and final Iowa gubernatorial debate between Governor Kim Reynolds and challenger Fred Hubbell just days before Reynolds’ victory. He has co-hosted KWQC’s live coverage of the Festival of Trees Holiday Parade in Davenport in recent years. He has served for many years as the annual master of ceremonies for the annual AFP IL Quad Cities Chapter Philanthropy Day Awards. For many years David has contributed his time to support AFP IL Quad Cities Chapter Philanthropy Day, HAVlife, Junior Achievement and other groups.
