Ryan grew up in Park View, Iowa and attended North Scott Senior High. Growing up, he wrote comic books and short stories that led him to the University of Iowa where he later fell in love with journalism. He majored in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Political Science.

During his time at KWQC, he’s interviewed state representatives, Jesus Christ (played by Brian Akker), and Cubs fans playing hooky from elementary school.

His hobbies including mountain biking, tennis, and perfecting his homemade pizza recipe. You can find him at Planet Fitness and Rave Cinemark on his days off.
