Kayla Trail joined the KWQC-TV6 team as a producer in January of 2017 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Illinois University in December 2016.

Born and raised in Davenport, Kayla first started writing as a junior at Davenport West High School.

After graduating, she continued writing for Scott Community College while getting her associate’s degree and then for Western while getting her bachelor’s.

Kayla and her husband, Dominic, adopted their dog Sultan, in March of 2018 and then married later that year in September.

Kayla enjoys reading, writing, walks with her husband and pup and probably enjoys the TV show Friends and the Harry Potter series more than an adult should.
