Taysha Woods joined the KWQC news team December of 2019.

She grew up in rural southern Iowa before moving to Iowa City. There she attended college at the University of Iowa majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Her love of journalism was cultivated after her role as newspaper editor in high school.

In 2016, after multiple internships, Taysha gained experience producing and reporting at KGAN in Cedar Rapids, and later, WHO in Des Moines.

Taysha is excited to call the Quad Cities her new home.

In Taysha’s free time you can find her spending quality time with her family, binging new shows, reading novels or jogging.
