1 person killed in crash near Rock Falls

Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash the area of Route 30 and McNeil Road around 5 a.m. Sunday morning.
Deputies say a westbound Ford Focus driven by 60-year-old Timothy Ohda of Rock Falls crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound tractor-trailer in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt, Ohda was pronounced dead at the scene by the Whiteside County Coroner.
Rock Falls Police, Illinois State police, Sterling and Rock Falls Fire Departments, CGH EMS and the Illinois DOT all responded along with Whiteside County Deputies.
