Weather making it tough to get around parts of Davenport

DAVENPORT, Ia (KWQC) - If you take River Drive through Davenport, be prepared to take another route. Our recent rain, over-saturated soil and the high river levels are pushing water over roads and forcing a couple of detours .
According to the city, the first detour is related to current and arriving river levels. All eastbound River Drive traffic from the west is being detoured at Division Street to 3rd Street, to Iowa, to 5th Street.
All westbound River Dr traffic from the east is being detoured at River Drive and 4th Street, to 4th St.
All arterial streets are closed at River Drive between Western and Marquette.
The River's Edge can be accessed at Gaines or by taking Western into the Florian Keen Parking lot and across Gaines.
The second detour is related to sanitary sewer surcharge that has occurred near Mound Street by the East Village. This area of River Drive may be re-opened sometime Thursday pending discovery of issues requiring immediate attention. The city will release more information on this detour as it becomes available.
This detour requires all westbound River Dr traffic east of Mound to be detoured north at River/11th St. All eastbound River Dr traffic will be detoured north at Mound.
