Accumulating Snow Looking More Likely By Friday

By  |

We are tracking two chances for snow between Thursday and Saturday with most of the accumulations occurring very early Friday morning and late Friday evening.
The first system will bring minor snow accumulations of an inch or less from 10PM Thursday through 6AM Friday mainly south of I-80. The second system will bring snow chances from Friday afternoon into the evening hours with another half to full inch of snow possible over the entire area. After all is said and done, most areas will pick up around an inch total from both systems, but there will be some spotty two inches.
What does this mean? We can expect some slippery roads at some point on Friday. This will also be our first real snow, thus we will need to get acclimated. So a First Alert Day is possible since it is our first real snow. Behind these systems wind chills will be in the single digits by Saturday morning.
