Active Weather Setting Up Later This Week

By  |

Active and very warm weather will set up in the QCA over the next several days. This will lead to humidity, heavy rain chances and even a few severe storms.
Thursday will bring the first bout of summer heat and humidity with highs in the mid 80s and possibly feeling like the 90s. We will follow this up with showers and storms late Thursday into Friday morning which could lead to heavy rain setting up along and north of I-80, due to the summer like set up. The left over clouds and east winds will create a strange day on Friday with highs in the 50s/60s NE of the QC and 80s SW of the QC. This certainly is a low confidence forecast and will likely remain the scenario through the weekend. In terms of severe weather, our biggest threat will be high winds and the aforementioned heavy rain.
Bottom line, the low confidence forecast means we will be taking this day by day, in terms of temps, rain and severe chances. So stay tuned!
