Pilot makes emergency landing in cornfield in Sterling

STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) - No injuries have been reported after a pilot had to make an emergency landing in a cornfield in Sterling, Illinois.

Crews were called to the cornfield in the southwest corner of Creston Road and Mulford Road at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The 1950 North American T-28A plane, which had left from Oklahoma, was en route to Wonder Lake, Illinois when they reportedly lost power.

The pilot had made an emergency landing in the cornfield and officials say no injuries were reported and there was no damage to the plane.
