Bix @ 6 training run cancelled due to flooding in downtown Davenport

According to the race director of the Bix, the Bix @ 6 has been cancelled due to flooding in downtown Davenport. The Bix @ 6 was scheduled for June 13.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - According to the race director of the Bix, the Bix @ 6 rraining run has been cancelled due to flooding in downtown Davenport. This was for the training race scheduled for June 13.

Michelle Juehring, Quad-City Times Bix 7 Race Director, said in a statement Monday that the Bix @ 6 had been cancelled "due to downtown flooding, and for the safety of our runners."

Laura Torgerud, Quad-City Times Bix 7 Operations says Bix @ 6 will have three other training runs.

"There will be three remaining Bix @ 6 training runs: June 20, 27 and July 11. Bix @ 6 training runs start at 6:00 pm on 4th & Le Claire Streets and are free for all registered participants," Torgerud said. "The Brady Street Sprints time trials will take place at 7:00 pm on June 20, 27 and July 11 at 5th & Pershing Streets."
