Cause of house fire in Galesburg under investigation

GALESBURG, Ill. (KWQC) -- The Galesburg Police Department is investigating the cause of a house fire Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to 268 Pine Street around 4:59 a.m. When they arrived, smoke could be seen coming from the two-story house.

The fire is believed to have started in the attic and had spread behind the wall of a second-story room. It took an hour to put out the fire. No injuries were reported.
