City of Davenport to return to patching potholes

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Davenport's Public Works director says now that flooding is winding down crews can get back to spring maintenance like potholes.

Right now the city is working on temporary patching.

City officials say permanent road work would have taken resources away from fighting the flood.

Crews hope to be able to do some permanent pothole patching once the flood waters recede completely.
