QUAD CITIES (KWQC) — After months of planning, crocheting and assembling, Augustana College will unveil its public art project "Yarn Bomb QC" on Sunday October 29. The project is already being assembled on trees near the Figge in downtown Davenport, along with trees at Augustana College and Longfellow School in Rock Island.

Over 100 community members participated by creating crocheted circles, which the artist Carol Hummel and her assistants stitched together and installed on the trees. The project will be on display throughout the academic year. The college will hold a reception on Sunday afternoon.
