DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - City officials say a failure of a storm sewer is what caused a sinkhole to form in Davenport. Officials were on scene Wednesday morning in the 600 block of Cedar Street due to it.

TV6 was on scene when police began shutting down portions of the road to prevent drivers from using the road. City officials tell TV6 the road is now blocked from Telegraph and Howell to repair a 60-inch storm sewer line.

KWQC's Emily Blume said us you can see water running at the bottom of the sinkhole.

Officials tell TV6 they do not know when the repair will be completed or when the road will reopen.
