March Madness busts brackets every year, but one 8-year-old boy from Davenport is in the 99th percentile.

Schuyler Weber has correctly guessed 3 of the 4 Final Four teams and ranks about 28,000 overall. Over 18 million brackets were submitted to the ESPN Tournament Challenge this year, one of the highest yet.

Weber did pretty well last year too, which surprised his caregivers.

"Last year, I thought it was a fluke," explains his babysitter. "Now, I'm not so sure."

Weber is a smart boy; he excels in reading and is the talented and gifted math program at McKinley Elementary.

The 2nd grader doesn't have a particular strategy.

"I just know who's better," he explains. He does have a few rules.

"A 16 seed can't beat a one seed," he says.

Mostly, though, he makes his picks on pure instinct.

"He still pure in his mind," believes his babysitter. "He doesn't have a personal favorite or anything that influences him."

Ever since he was four years old, Weber would clamor to watch game highlights on his babysitter's iPhone. Now, he has his own tablet to catch up on what he's missed.

"This kid knows more about basketball than any other 8 year old running around," says his babysitter.

Of course, Weber doesn't have a perfect bracket. His national championship pick was SMU.

The boy bracketologist won't have to wait until next year to put his skills to the test.

Weber is already gearing up for his fantasy football league this fall.
