Davenport police investigate shots fired near downtown Tuesday night

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - UPDATE: 4/17/19: Davenport Police say just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night, officers responded to the 300 block of Marquette Street for a shots fired call.

Officers found damage to a home in the area as a result of gunfire, but no one was hurt.

Police are still investigating. If you have information, you're asked to call police.

ORIGINAL: Davenport Police responded to a shots fired call near downtown Tuesday night.

According to police, at least eight shell casings were found near Eighth and Marquette. Police were called to the area around 9:15.

TV6 is told that no one was hurt. The investigation is ongoing.
