Davenport student charged after police find stolen gun in locker at North High School

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Officials say a 16-year-old student from North High School has been charged after police found a stolen gun in their locker.

A Davenport police officer was working at North High when he was investigating a disturbance. During the investigation, a school security guard searched the student's locker and located a gun according to police. Police say the gun was later found to have been reported stolen.

As a result, the 16-year-old was charged with Trafficking in Stolen Weapons and Carrying Weapons on School Grounds.
