(KWQC) Police have identified the man who died in a skid loader accident in Wheatland.

Officials say 75-year-old Owen H. Boedeker, of Wheatland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office and the Clinton County Medical Examiner's Office.

(AP) Authorities say a man has died in a skid loader accident in the small eastern Iowa city of Wheatland.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Monday morning at a business where a person was operating a skid loader. Wheatland emergency responders were called to the business and found a boom attached to the skid loader had hit and killed the person, described only as a male.

The victim’s name wasn’t released until relatives could be notified.

Wheatland is about 25 miles northwest of Davenport.
