Fire damages Long John Silver's/A&W restaurant in Davenport

A joint Long John Silver's and A&W restaurant in Davenport was damaged in a fire early Sunday morning.

Davenport Fire was notified by a Permar fire alarm at approximately 3:58 am. Upon arrival at 3702 Brady Street, fire crews found smoke coming from the drive-thru window area.

Fire crews had to force entry into the locked business to extinguish the fire. There were no employees present at the time.

There was significant damage to the restaurant, and it is closed until further notice. The fire remains under investigation.
