CLINTON, Iowa (KWQC) — A commercial building received nearly $75,000 in damage in a fire early Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017.
Crews were called to Beckwith Commercial Roofing, 2000 Manufacturing Drive around 4 a.m. for a structure fire. When they got there, they found the metal storage facility fully involved.
Battalion Chief Joel Atkinson says it took around 50 minutes to extinguish the fire, but crews stayed on scene until around 7:30 a.m. He says the fire was made difficult to put out due to structural collapse of the building.
Atkinson says no one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
