(KWQC) - First Alert Day has been issued from Midnight to 6 PM Friday
A system bringing light accumulations of snow is scheduled to sweep through the region over the next 24 hours. We'll see two waves of snow--the first set to arrive late tonight and continue through the mid morning hours Friday, with a second burst of snow affecting the region into the afternoon and evening hours. Some minor accumulations will be possible during the period, with amounts ranging from .50" to 2", especially sticking to grassy and/or elevated surfaces and untreated roads. These are usually considered light amounts, but the slushy consistency and possible slick road conditions could impact travel for both the morning and evening commute
FIRST ALERT DAYS are issued to inform you of inconvenient, hazardous, or potentially dangerous weather in our viewing area--weather that could impact you and your family. Look for frequent updates on air, online, on our social media platforms and on the QC Weather App.
