Free water distribution available for people in Pleasant Valley and Campbell's Island

PLEASANT VALLEY, Iowa (KWQC) - date: Update:

American Red Cross Serving Quad Cities and West Central Illinois will distribute free water and clean up supplies at various times as follows for residents directly impacted by flooding in Campbell’s Island, IL.

Red Cross will be distributing water and clean-up supplies on Campbell's Island in Rock Island County on the following dates and times:

April 22 - Monday 3-6p
April 24 - Wednesday 3-6p
April 26 - Friday 3-6p
April 29 – Monday 3-6p
May 1 – Wednesday 3-6p
May 3 – Friday 3-6p

Red Cross in coordination with Scott County Emergency Management will be distributing water and clean-up supplies at the following two locations at the times listed below:

The City of Davenport Mobile Police Precinct
Utah & South Concord Street
Davenport, IA.

The water supplied and distributed by the Red Cross and Scott County Emergency Management is for drinking purposes only and is not intended for sanitary use.

Original story: The American Red Cross in the Quad Cities is offering free water to homeowners impacted by flooding in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.

According to a news released, the Red Cross has been told water from the rising Mississippi River is impacting wells for several homes.

The Red Cross will be handing out bottled water its disaster assistance vehicle. It will be out on Thursday, April 4th from 9 a.m. to noon and again Friday, April 5th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Fire Station on Valley Drive.
