QUAD CITIES (KWQC) - The average price for gas in the Quad Cities has dropped 10 cents in the last week. The average has gone from $2.53 to $2.43.
The latest Lundberg Survey shows the average price of regular gas has dropped more than 6-cents overall nationwide.
In August and September, gas prices spiked when some refineries had to temporarily shut down due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
Experts say gas prices will most likely continue to drop unless oil prices increase.
Also keeping prices down is the fact that refineries can now make winter blend gasoline, which is cheaper to produce.
