Community leaders gathered to break ground Wednesday, all looking forward to a new beginning.

The groundbreaking was at 1 p.m. at the site of the former restaurant on River Drive in Moline.

The general manager spoke at the groundbreaking, saying it was a long process, but they wanted to make sure they got it right.

They hope to open by next summer.
