Jackson County, Iowa officials: "Travel not recommended"

JACKSON Co., Iowa (KWQC) - Travel is not advised according to Jackson County, Iowa officials. In a release Thursday morning, officials say the Jackson County secondary roads department is not recommending travel on County Roads due to the freezing rain.

"The county will continue to be on the county roads but will have difficulty in keeping all roads clear," the announcement reads.

The advisory is in effect until further notice.
