Sterling police identify suspect in November stabbing

STERLING, Ill. (KWQC) - Sterling, Illinois police have released the name of a suspect in a stabbing that occurred in late November.

In a press release, police say Sterling officers were called to the CGH Medical Center Emergency Room for a male stabbing victim on Saturday, Nov. 30. Officers say they believe the incident occurred near the 600 block of Locust Street in Sterling, Illinois.

Police say 19-year-old Jordan L. Kaye is wanted in connection with the stabbing. They say he is wanted for aggravated battery on a Whiteside County arrest warrant.

Kaye is 5'10" and weighs 185 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Shortly after the stabbing, police said the public is not at risk, and it appears to be an isolated incident.

The stabbing victim is listed in serious but stable condition.
