Animals evacuated from Milan Animal Shelter after fire Sunday afternoon

MILAN, Ill. (KWQC) The Milan Fire and Police Departments responded to a fire at the Milan Animal Shelter Sunday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 2:00 Sunday. The executive director said the fire was in a dryer which resulted in a lot of smoke in the building.

The animals are okay but had to be moved to another part of the building.
