Moline Police ask for help identifying vehicle wanted in connection to downtown homicide

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - The Moline Police Department has released an image of a vehicle wanted in connection to a homicide in downtown Moline last week.

Corey Harrell Jr., was found shot to death in his van behind city hall.

The department is asking anyone with information about who may have been in the vehicle to come forward.

"The Moline Police are continuing to diligently investigate this case in an effort to apprehend the offenders," the department wrote in its release.

Police were called to the 2100 block of River Drive in reference to a vehicle shooting at another vehicle. When they arrived, the found Harrell dead in his vehicle.

Officials say an investigation shows Harrell was the target of unknown suspects who began shooting at him in the 2100 block of River Drive. The shooting continued, according to officials, until Harrell received a fatal gunshot wound in the 1500 block of 7th Avenue.
