Moline fire crews respond to gas leak at city garage

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Moline firefighters and MidAmerican Energy responded to a gas leak at the city garage on Fourth Avenue.

According to the fire department, a Moline police officer was getting gas when a high pressured compression line failed, allowing gas to spew from the tank.

The officer did hit the emergency shut off but gas continued to spew until MidAmerican crews were able to shut it off.

No one was hurt.
