Moline approves bow hunting inside city limits

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – The Moline City Council has passed an ordinance that allows hunters to bow hunt deer inside the city limits of Moline.

The actual hunting of the deer must follow Illinois DNR timelines and requirements.

City Council members say while there was not an increase of deer traffic incidents, council members believe allowing hunting in city limits could prevent some accidents. Another driving concern behind the ordinance was the number of people complaining about their landscape being damaged by the deer.
