NEWTON, Iowa (KWQC) - UPDATE 10/11: Officials say they have captured 46-year-old Terry Lee Finks II.
Law enforcement from the Warren County Sheriff's Department and Indianola Police Department arrested Fink II earlier today. Upon his arrest and confirmation of his identification, he was transported to the Newton Correctional Facility where he is now being housed.
The department thanks the many partners in law enforcement from across the state that assisted in the apprehension of this individual.
ORIGINAL 10/10: The Iowa Department of Corrections is searching for an inmate after they say he breached an emergency vehicle and walked away from a work-release facility.
Officials say 46-year-old Terry Lee Fink II was convicted of Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Drug or while having an alcohol concentration of .08 or more, his 2nd offense.
According to officials, in a press release, it states Fink II was not present during a headcount around 9 p.m. Officials checked security footage and found that he had left the facility around 7 p.m.
Fink II is described as a white man who weighs 200-pounds and is 6'0". Officials say he has a Harley Davidson tattoo on his right arm, a three leaf clover tattoo on his right wrist.
Anyone with information should contact police and officials say if you think you have encountered Fink II, you should not try to apprehend him. Officials urge you to leave the area and contact police immediately.
Law enforcement has been notified, and is working to apprehend the escapee. They include: The Iowa State Patrol, the Des Moines Police Department, Jasper County Sheriff's Office, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, and the 5th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services Fugitive Apprehension Team.
