UPDATE: Death investigation after body found at Lock and Dam 15

UPDATE: The Rock Island County Coroner just completed an autopsy and says the partial body pulled from the river is that of a male. The preliminary cause of death is undetermined.

DNA has been submitted to the national data base and anyone with a missing family member is asked to contact the coroner's office.

The Rock Island County Coroner's office has confirmed that a body was found at Lock and Dam 15 Monday afternoon, April 17, 2017.

Officials have not released information on the victim yet. The cause of death is still under investigation.
