According to the Iowa Department of Transportation's

there are tow bans in effect in several counties in the state of Iowa.

That means if you slide off the road, you'll have to leave your car there. Because of the winter weather conditions, tow trucks are prohibited from towing you on those roadways.

Counties affected include Scott, Johnson, Iowa, Cedar, Clinton and Jackson, as well as other counties in the central and western parts of the state.
