Wall Street looks to build after post-election rally

(NBC) - Wall Street will look to build on yesterday's monster post-election rally.

Stocks surged, as the midterm results were pretty much what was expected, with a split congress.

The Dow and S&P 500 surge posting their best gains after a midterm since 1982.

The Dow closing up 545 points to 26,180.

On today's watch list a report on new filings for unemployment, and the fed wraps up a 2-day meeting but is not expected to hike interest rates.
