JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a person ready to start climbing the producing ladder in the broadcast industry by working on our 2 ½ hour morning show. In the broadcast industry, the mornings are a rising daypart that people tune into for their local news and weather, so it’s an exciting time to innovate and learn some new tricks of the trade. Producing such a show will help launch strong producers into bigger TV markets.

He/she would be responsible for coming in overnight to look for and build fresh, new local, national and international content into the newscast. He/she would have a strong support system of anchors, another producer, a digital producer and someone from our management team to oversee late-breaking news and live opportunities for the show.

QUALIFICATIONS: A college degree in journalism, broadcasting or related field is preferred. Experience is a plus. In lieu of a college degree, applicants with 2 or more years of experience in the broadcast or forecasting industry will be considered. The candidate must be willing to work overnight, know basic writing/grammar skills, and have good time management skills. Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable.
