Galesburg families drawn closer together by living kidney donation

80% of people on the organ donor list are waiting for a kidney according to the U.S. Department of Health. And every 14 minutes another person is added to the kidney transplant list. The vast majority of those receiving a kidney transplant get one from a deceased donor. KWQC's Sarah Jones sat down with two Galesburg families were brought closer together through a live donation.

A stray pup somehow got himself wedged tight in the engine block and when the owner lifted the hood, it could only offer a pathetic look. In this race the tortoise does not beat the hare! A new study suggests the faster you walk at your normal pace, the more likely you are to live a longer life. The study of data on more than 475,000 people indicates people who walk at a fast clip are likely to live longer than those who walk slower. The study shows that's even true if you are overweight.
