Free 'street food' in Iowa City

Next time you get the munchies in downtown Iowa City you may be able to satisfy your cravings or at least spice things up at one of the garden planters on the street. The city has edible planters with lemongrass, rosemary, french thyme and other herbs along with some vegetables. The Iowa City Parks Director says it's a great use of public space and people are encouraged to pick some leaves for tea or spices or take home some ripe produce.
