Happy Saturday, Quad Cities! We’re looking at a nice and dry start to the weekend. Look for mostly sunny skies for your Saturday with temperatures warming into the upper 20s and lower 30s this afternoon. Late this afternoon, clouds will arrive, and thicken through the evening hours.
Snow arrives from the west after midnight, with snow likely off and on through your Sunday. Overall accumulations look to be in the 3”-6” range from the metro and northwest, with 1”-3” range south and east. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire area for your Sunday. Snow covered roadways, lowered visbilities, and travel impacts are possible. The snow wraps up Sunday, night, with a dry and below normal start to the new week.
Our next snow system arrives midweek, and could be a strong storm. Too early for specifics, but it will be one to watch. Highs look to remain below normal over the next 7 days, with numbers hanging in the 20s and lower 30s.
