QUAD CITIES, IA./Ill. (KWQC) -- Spotty showers and storms could produce a funnel cloud or two this afternoon (along with brief heavy rain), but should come to an end quickly this evening, with some lingering cloud cover expected during the overnight hours. Tuesday and Wednesday will bring a repeat of that isolated/scattered precipitation pattern, but at this point, we’re not expecting much in the way of any severe weather. Look for more sunshine and warmth as we head through the rest of the work week. Highs should reach the lower to middle 80′s Thursday and Friday, with readings approaching the upper 80′s to near 90 degrees by the weekend.

TONIGHT: Evening showers end, then partly cloudy skies. Patchy fog late. Low: 63°. Wind: NW 5 mph.

TUESDAY: Patchy fog possible early, then partly cloudy, warm and humid. A chance for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms by afternoon. High: 85°. Wind: SW 5 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Low: 62°.

WEDNESDAY: A mix of clouds and sun with a chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. High: 84°.
