Circa ’21 to open season with madcap musical ‘Lucky Stiff’
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) -Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse kicks off its 2026 season with the Quad Cities debut of “Lucky Stiff“, a slapstick musical comedy running Jan. 21 through March 7 at the historic venue.
The show begins with public previews Jan. 21–22, followed by the full run Jan. 23–March 6.
Performances are scheduled for Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday matinées at 1:15 p.m.
Lucky Stiff—praised by reviewers as “sublimely silly” and “highly entertaining”—follows an unassuming shoe salesman who must take his deceased uncle on a trip to Monte Carlo to inherit $6 million. The musical blends mistaken identities, farcical chases and an ever-present corpse in a fast-paced, offbeat murder‑mystery romp.
The production marks the show’s first appearance at Circa ’21, with direction and choreography by Ashley Becher.
