Junior Achievement golf tournament raises funds for student programs

BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - Over 130 golfers teed off for the annual Jim Victor Memorial Golf Classic in Bettendorf. The tournament raises money for Junior Achievement.

All funds go toward Junior Achievement’s finances, career readiness and entrepreneurial learning experiences in local schools.

“Our goal is to really make an impact so that we can continue to do the operations that we provide. So we have over 60,000 students we serve in the classrooms so we’re really looking to make sure we continue that for forever,” said Lysa Hegland, CEO and president of Junior Achievement of the Heartland.

The tournament honors Jim Victor, a Junior Achievement supporter and former KWQC financial reporter.
