Fostering Crossroads founder Elise Ward wins Hometown Hero Award

ELDRIDGE, Iowa (KWQC) - SERVPRO and KWQC surprised Elise Ward with the Hometown Hero award in recognition of her service to children in Scott County.

“I’m so surprised, I had no idea,” Ward, who is the founder of Fostering Crossroads, said. “What an honor.”

The nonprofit provides resources to support foster, adoptive and kinship children in Scott County.

“The families need our resources and support,” she said. “If you know of a foster family or kinship family or adoptive family I would say reach out to them and ask how you can help them.”
