Bix Street Fest features water slides, games

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The 2026 Bix Street Fest brought runners and families together in downtown Davenport on Friday following the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race.

The event served as a cooldown for runners and offered activities for all ages, including water slides, games and local vendors.

Kyle Carter, executive director of the Downtown Davenport Partnership, said the Street Fest and the Quad-City Times Bix 7 hold significance for the community beyond the race itself.

“This is just so important to our community, and it’s really our homecoming,” Carter said. “It’s an opportunity for people to really see downtown in a way that maybe they don’t throughout the rest of the year. And so it’s important for a lot of reasons, from a business perspective and just a community perspective.”
